INVITATION TO A PUBLIC EXHIBITION & CONSULTATION

SEEKING IDEAS TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF ST ANNE’S CHURCH

Dear Neighbour,

St Anne’s is the parish church of Limehouse, a special building and a significant landmark.  Internationally famous, it was designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor almost 300 years ago.  It is extremely important in the context of our built heritage whilst also being a vitally important anchor in Limehouse’s history, religious life, and secular community.

St Anne’s, a Grade 1 listed building, is on Historic England’s register of buildings at risk and is in urgent need of major and extensive restoration.  Whilst the costs of this are far beyond the capacity of the congregation, starter funding has been awarded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) to enable us to explore and develop a full forward plan.  In order to do this, we want to understand the priorities of the wider community. Will you contribute to finding the best way forward?

You are warmly invited to attend a public exhibition, which will be a valuable opportunity to discuss your views. This will be held at St Anne’s over 3 days at the end of November 25, 26, 27th.

If you would like more information but are not able to attend the exhibition, or if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us:
